1/3cupbrown sugar
3/4cupMehl's Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour
1/2cupgluten-free oats
1/3cupshorteningbutter or dairy-free margarine
Filling Ingredients
2TBSPlemon juice
3TBSPshorteningbutter or margarine
3TBSPwater
1/3cuplightly packed brown sugar
1tspcinnamon
4cupsdiced or sliced fruit
3TBSPMehl's Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit
Filling:
Place all liquid ingredients into mixing bowl.. Warm in microwave for 20-30 seconds to soften shortening, butter or margarine.
Add the brown sugar, cinnamon and fruit. Mix until all the fruit is covered. Add flour and mix again until flour has been absorbed and is even;ly distributed.
Pour into an 8" x 8" pan, square or round..
Topping:
Place all topping ingredients into mixing bowl in order listed.
Add the shortening, butter or margarine.
Mix on low speed until the mixture starts to gets crumbly. You can speed up the mixer once the oil has started to mix with the dry ingredients.
Once the mixture is nice and looks like lots of little balls, pour over the top of the filling in the pan, and evenly spread across the top.
Baking:
Bake at 375 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
Take out of oven and let cool for 15 minutes before serving.
